The global Church is called “the body of Christ” (1 Corinthians 12:27), and so it is our joy and responsibility to carry on the work of Christ in the world. Because Jesus came “not to be served but to serve” (Mark 10:45), serving is a vital part of the Christian life and a regular opportunity to bring the hope of Jesus to a world in need. We offer a variety of opportunities to serve both locally and abroad. Consider how you can serve alongside us!
CH Kids exists to help kids find and follow Jesus. Leaders* can serve as small group leaders, large group teachers, child-care for special events, Life Group Support, and Kids first impressions. If you feel a calling to invest in the next generation, we'd love to talk with you.
*Leaders who serve in kids and student ministry must be a member in good standing, complete an application, and submit to a background check.
First Impressions Volunteers help us provide a great first impression to the many guests who come through our doors every Sunday.
Greeter
Be the first smile someone sees! Greeters create a fun, welcoming environment by connecting with guests before and after services, from the parking lot to the Auditorium doors.
Parking Lot
Be a friendly guide during the first moments on campus. Parking team members help prepare the outside environment, assist with traffic flow and crossings, and ensuring safety while offering a warm welcome.
Cafe
Don't just serve coffee and donuts—serve connection. The Cafe Team keeps the coffee flowing and the cafe clean while offering a warm welcome with every cup.
Info Desk
Take the welcoming “hello” to the next level by sharing the inside scoop on everything happening in the church. Volunteers at the Info Desk help guests and church family by answering their questions, getting them connected, and making them feel right at home.
Usher
Help guests and church family feel right at home in the Auditorium. Ushers make sure everyone has a place to sit so no one feels overlooked or left standing.
Offer the important work of availability and intercession, praying at the end of each service with anyone who comes forward. Volunteers on the prayer team not only serve through praying with someone, but they often have opportunities to identify and suggest next steps.
CH Students exists to create a safe space for middle and high schoolers to know Jesus, connect them with loving adults who model a vibrant faith, and help them take their next steps in their walk with Jesus. Leaders* can serve as small groups leaders, student worship team members, admin support, special event help, and more. If you feel a calling to invest in the next generation, we'd love to talk with you.
*Leaders who serve in kids and student ministry must be a member in good standing, complete an application, and submit to a background check.
The Worship Team exists to lead our church in authentic, Christ-centered worship. If you have a heart for serving and a passion for using your musical/technical gifts to glorify God, we'd love for you to join us as we help others encounter Him through worship.
Life Group leaders at Colonial Hills are a vital part of shepherding our congregation, providing leadership and safe spaces for people to connect in biblical community and grow together as we follow Jesus more and more closely. If you are interested in serving in this vital role, we’d love to talk to you.
Join us as we serve the hurting, lonely, or hungry in our community one Saturday each month. Through a simple meal, we get to pray with, encourage, and provide a welcoming place to be seen, known, and loved. As Christ meets us where we are, we get to do the same for our neighbors.
